November Chills

So first hi to everyone, I hope your all doing great out there.

I've decided as the months are getting colder and the nights are getting darker that you can certainly tell that winters here. This sort of made me take a turn with my animals and each animal I've done this month has been an endangered animal that likes the cold weather, hence the polar bear above and the Gray wolf with her pups singing to the moon.

I've been having a think lately and I've not really named many of my sculptures as I was waiting until they had been fired and have some colour to them as I thought this would bring out their true personalities, however, I had a thought recently that I thought you guys might like. how about I post up a piece each time its been fired and then glazed, and then ask you guys to suggest names, then from their I'll chose my favourites, maybe the top 3, and then let you guys vote on the final choice.

What do you think?  I thought it might involve you guys a little more and maybe you could even grab friends and family to help you suggest the names.

My next plan for the website is also to get it out there more, so I'm going to maybe try to find a way where people can subscribe to the page and you'll get a weekly or monthly blog post alert whenever I update. Not being a wiz with the computer or these website building platforms, you might have to bare with me while I figure out how to do that though 😆

I can't believe it, but I'm currently in the process of sculpting number 30 of my 200 endangered and vulnerable animals and I am loving every moment of it.  I'm currently choosing animals by season, however I might start choosing what to make by celebration, i.e.. a reindeer for Christmas or a turkey, if theirs one that's endangered, or maybe for valentines day I'll make something with its lifelong partner as they are in the wild etc.  I think it might just get more people interested.  I am also going to try and make animals which match with their international days, i.e.. international rhino day etc.

Anyway, I hope your all staying warm out there, I certainly am in my Oodie with my horlicks, wow does that make me sound old 😂

Take care all and I hope we'll speak again soon.

Dee xx
