Sorry

Sorry
Sorry captures one of those wonderfully familiar moments every dog owner knows so well—the silent apology that arrives long before any words are spoken. This handcrafted ceramic sculpture portrays an English Bull Terrier in a striking tri-colour glaze, his head bowed and expression filled with remorse, curiosity and just a hint of hope for forgiveness.

Entirely handmade, every curve and contour has been individually sculpted to celebrate the distinctive character of the breed. The glossy glaze enhances the rich black, tan and white markings while bringing depth and life to his soulful eyes and unmistakable Bull Terrier profile.

With humour, warmth and affection, Sorry reflects the irresistible personality of these remarkable dogs. Mischievous, loyal and endlessly endearing, they have an uncanny ability to melt hearts—even when they’ve been caught red-pawed. More than a portrait of a breed, this is a study of emotion, inviting the viewer to smile, empathise and perhaps remember a much-loved companion of their own.

His head dips low, his ears laid back,
Eyes that plead, “I’ll mend my track.”
A tiny sigh, a pause, a glance,
The world forgives him at a single chance.

The Apology whispered in fur and eyes,
A gentle moment where mischief dies.
Silent words that need no sound,
In his little tilt, forgiveness is found.

Again?

Again? captures the boundless enthusiasm of a young Springer Spaniel, sitting patiently with a well-loved tennis ball firmly held in his mouth. His bright, expectant eyes ask the question every Spaniel owner knows so well: “Are you going to throw it… again?”

Entirely handmade, this charming ceramic sculpture celebrates the joyful spirit and tireless energy of the breed. Every detail has been carefully modelled, from the expressive face and soft feathered ears to the unmistakable tennis ball, generously coated in authentic “Spaniel Slobber”—a badge of honour familiar to anyone who has shared a game of fetch with these endlessly devoted companions.

Finished with carefully applied glazes that bring depth, character and life to every marking, Again? is full of warmth, humour and affection. It is a tribute to the unwavering optimism of the Springer Spaniel, whose greatest happiness can always be found in one more throw of the ball.

Ball held tight and tongue askew,
She waits like the sky is depending on you.
Not a bark, not a plea —
Just quiet faith and expectancy.

The grass, the throw, the flying arc —
A simple joy that leaves its mark.
She lives where beginnings never end…
You threw it once.
Please throw it Again?

Training Day

Training Day captures a young Black Labrador Retriever in a moment every gundog owner knows well. Standing proudly with his treasured leather training dummy held gently in his mouth, he waits patiently, eager for the next retrieve and ready to prove himself all over again.

Entirely handmade, every detail has been individually sculpted to celebrate the Labrador’s gentle nature, intelligence and unwavering desire to please. From his alert expression and athletic stance to the well-loved leather training duck, the sculpture reflects the strong bond between dog and handler.

A touch of hand-applied resin recreates the familiar strands of Labrador drool hanging from the dummy—a wonderfully authentic detail that adds both realism and a smile for anyone who has spent time training these remarkable dogs.

Finished with carefully applied glazes, Training Day is a celebration of loyalty, patience and enthusiasm. It captures not just the appearance of a Labrador, but the quiet pride of a dog doing exactly what he loves most.

My black Lab stands proud with his duck held tight,
A moment of joy, both playful and bright.
With wagging tail and faithful eyes so true,
He guards his prized treasure as only Labs do.

A simple game, yet full of love’s warm touch,
The friends we cherish can mean so much.
With duck in his jaws and happiness fresh,
He captures the spirit of a game called Fetch.

A Little Windswept

Part of the Perfect Pets collection—where you never have to feed them, walk them, clean up after them or untangle them from the blankets. You simply sit back and admire them.

Windswept captures the spirited charm of a miniature Dachshund, embracing the simple pleasure of being out in the fresh air. One ear hangs naturally while the other is caught by the breeze, sweeping dramatically over his head and perfectly capturing the movement and character that make the breed so endearing.

Entirely handmade, every detail has been individually sculpted to celebrate the Dachshund’s unmistakable silhouette, curious nature and quiet confidence. The carefully applied glazes bring warmth and life to his expression, while the sculpted movement creates a wonderful sense of energy, as though he has paused for just a moment before continuing on his adventure.

More than a portrait of a much-loved breed, Windswept is a celebration of freedom, curiosity and the joy of life’s little adventures. It reminds us that happiness can often be found in something as simple as feeling the wind in your ears.

A Little Windswept
A lazy stretch on the warming floor,
One ear tipped up at the draft by the door.
The world may hurry — he stays right here,
A tiny king, his throne held dear.

Wiggle Piggle

Wiggle Piggle captures the carefree exuberance of an English Bull Terrier puppy in the middle of a joyful roll. Belly in the air, paws waving with complete abandon, one ear flopped while the other stands proudly to attention, he is utterly absorbed in the simple pleasure of being a puppy.

The title comes from a much-loved family phrase. Bull Terriers are affectionately known as “pig dogs” by many owners, and whenever ours launch themselves onto the floor for one of their enthusiastic wriggles, we simply say they’re having a “Wiggle Piggle.” It is a name that perfectly captures their playful spirit and wonderfully comic nature.

Entirely handmade, every detail has been individually sculpted to celebrate the unmistakable character of the breed—from the oversized puppy paws and soft pink pads to the rounded tummy and expressive profile. Carefully applied glazes bring warmth, life and personality to this delightful little character.

More than a study of an English Bull Terrier, Wiggle Piggle is a celebration of uninhibited happiness. It reminds us to find joy in life’s simplest moments, to laugh often and, every now and then, to have our own little wiggle piggle.

She’s not big or scary,
With her big wonky ears,
And her cute little button nose,
Her happy waggy tail,
And her funny big toes.

This cute little puppy,
With her little piggy eyes,
Will grow into those funny, funny feet,
So when she jumps… she flies!

Spinning is her favourite thing,
Or leaping down the stairs,
Playing with her favourite toys,
Fills her heart with so much joy.

The English Bull Terrier,
Is who I’ve made from clay,
For all of you who love this breed,
I hope she makes your day.

Memorial Sculptures with Ashes

Losing a beloved pet is incredibly hard, and many people find comfort in knowing their companion can still be with them in a tangible way. For those who would like their pet’s ashes included, I can carefully incorporate a small amount directly into the sculpture during the making process.

Only a tiny amount is needed, and I’ll guide you step by step on how to send them safely. Any ashes not used will always be returned with your finished piece.

Every set of ashes is treated with the utmost care and respect — I understand how precious they are, and I handle them as if they were my own.

F.A.Q.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How big are your sculptures?

My sculptures are usually no larger than around 13 inches wide or high, as that’s the size my current kiln allows. However, if you’d like something bigger, just let me know — I have access to a local larger kiln and can make it happen.

  • Can you work from photos?

Yes, I can work from photographs. I’ll need them to be as clear as possible, with at least one from the front, each side, and the back — ideally in the pose you’d like the sculpture in.
If it’s a memorial piece, don’t worry about getting every angle in one shot. Just send as many photos as you can of your beloved pet from different angles, and I’ll use those to capture all their details and personality for you.

  • How long does a sculpture take to make?

Each sculpture is handmade from start to finish, so timings can vary. On average, a piece takes around 3 weeks to complete, but sometimes it may be a little longer depending on the complexity and the kiln process. If extra time is ever needed, I’ll keep you updated — I just ask for a little patience while I make sure your sculpture is the best it can be.

  • Do you ship sculptures, and how are they packaged?

Yes, I can ship sculptures — please see the shipping link above for details on where I send to.

Each piece is carefully packaged for a safe journey: first wrapped in bubble wrap and honeycomb paper, then seated on a soft bed of paper inside the box. The box is filled with eco-friendly packing peanuts to stop movement, sealed with ‘FRAGILE’ tape, and finished with security stickers so your sculpture arrives safely at its new home.
