Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I have a sculpture made of my own pet or a beloved animal?

Yes! I create custom sculptures of pets, favourite animals, or even fantastical creatures. You can provide photos or descriptions, and I’ll work with you to capture their personality and charm in clay, or if you have another chosen medium, please speak with Dee.

  • Can I request a surprise gift or a piece for someone else?

Absolutely! Many collectors commission pieces as gifts. Just provide details, photos, or inspiration, and I’ll create something special that your recipient will treasure.

  • How are sculptures delivered?

Each piece is carefully packaged to ensure safe arrival. Shipping options depend on size and destination, and I provide tracking details for peace of mind. If you are local enough to myself I may be able to arrange a special delivery.

  • How do I care for my sculpture?

Clay and bronze sculptures can be gently dusted with a soft brush or cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or direct sunlight for prolonged periods. I can provide detailed care instructions with each piece.

  • Can you help me choose the right piece for my home or space?

Of course! I’m happy to offer guidance on size, color, and style to make sure your sculpture fits beautifully in your chosen space.

  • Can I request a sculpture if I don’t see the exact animal in your portfolio?

Definitely! Even if you don’t see your ideal animal on my pages, I love creating new creatures. Every piece can be custom-made to bring your vision to life.

  • What materials do you work with?

I primarily use high-quality terracotta sculpting clay for sculpting, I also use glaze and or acrylic paints, and sometimes even soft pastels, for certain projects when it comes to adding colour and detail to my sculpture. When glazed they don’t need any protect layer adding, but when I use other mediums also, I then use a strong long lasting varnish to protect all sculptures as if they were glazed. All my materials are chosen for longevity and detail. My sculptures are hand painted or I use an air brush to create the soft fur effect.

  • Do you make bronze sculptures?

Yes! I will create each original sculpture by hand in clay, I then contact a specialist bronze foundry to have it cast. This process ensures the very best quality and finish. Every bronze begins as my sculpture, and I oversee the casting to make sure the final piece reflects my vision. Bronze is highly valued for its strength, timelessness, and ability to capture fine detail—making it a perfect choice for collectors who want a piece that lasts for generations. Prices for bronze sculptures are given once all details have been finalised regarding the final sculpture.

Sculptures

All my work is completely handmade I can make just about any Animal you want sculpting from wildlife to pets, including dogs, cats etc.
Let me know what you want making and how you want it posed or send a photo of your beloved pet.
I like to work closely with you throughout the making process allowing you to make changes if needed to give you the confidence that you will have the perfect sculpture made exactly as you requested.
Normally a sculpture will take between 4 – 6 weeks but I always stress that this can change if any problems occur during firing etc.
Sculptures will cost between £120 – £500 depending on size, pose and number of animals.

Please feel free to get in touch to get a quote for your sculpture, once all details are agreed a 50% deposit is required before the sculpture is started.
I ask this due to the cost of what it takes to make these sculptures, its not just the clay, its the equipment used, the time, which is hours and hours of sculpting alone, then the cost of firing, then the glaze and hours taken painting the sculpture plus the cost of the final firing, to be then let down halfway through is something I have to make sure I cover.
I hope you understand.
If I start a sculpture and it breaks in the kiln this is at no cost to you and the sculpture will be restarted at my cost.

I hope to hear from you soon.
